    AI&I Researchers Secure €6.5 Million in ZonMw Grants for Post-COVID Research The researchers, Brent Appelman and Prof. Dr. Joost Wiersinga, Prof. Dr. Michèle van Vugt, Dr. Pythia Nieuwkerk, Dr. Sander Verfaillie, Dr. René Lutter, Dr. Jos Bosch, Dr. Amélie Bos, and Dr. Jeroen den Dunnen, will conduct both clinical and fundamental research. The funding supports various clinical trials, PET scans, neuro-imaging and stimulation, and the establishment of in vitro models all focused on post-COVID.

    New Centers of expertise for Post-COVID Patients: Three Specialized Clinics Opened on November 1 On November 1, the first post-COVID Clinical Centers of Expertise launched at Amsterdam UMC, Maastricht UMC+, and Erasmus MC. On November 6, Minister Agema of Health, Welfare, and Sport officially opened these centers at Amsterdam UMC. At the post-COVID centers, doctors will diagnose post-COVID and assess whether existing medications can diminish patients’ most common symptoms.
