Dear postdoc researcher at Amsterdam UMC,
The Postdoc Network Amsterdam UMC is an association of post doctorates and PhD students in their final year who are affiliated to AMR, AMC or VUmc. The aim of the network is to stimulate professional and career development of early career researchers at Amsterdam UMC. We organize courses and training sessions about scientific as well as transferable skills, such as applying for grant funding, developing leadership skills, knowledge utilisation, etc. Additionally, the Postdoc Network is an important platform to connect with fellow postdocs and discuss relevant postdoc-related matters within various Amsterdam UMC bodies. These might include talent recognition, career perspectives, workload, delay due to the COVID pandemic, pregnancy or illness leave, or the need for a mentoring/intervision program.
At the moment, we are preparing the re-launch of the network and are looking for enthusiastic and motivated postdocs (without a tenured or permanent position) to join our board.
This will be a great opportunity for your personal and academic development! Being involved in these activities and discussions will not only help you to gain leadership skills, but also will increase your visibility within Amsterdam UMC.
