About us
The department of Medical Informatics of Amsterdam UMC aims to improve human health by studying the effective use of biomedical data, information, and knowledge for scientific inquiry, problem solving, and decision making.
Our department is one of the leading Medical Informatics departments in the Netherlands and Europe. We provide Medical Informatics training and research at BSc, MSc and PhD level. Furthermore, we are involved in (inter)national quality registries and our research, rooted in scientific rigor, expands to application-geared projects contributing to the further improvement of health and healthcare.
