The research goal of the department of Nuclear Medicine of Amsterdam UMC is to optimize molecular imaging with a focus on receptor imaging and cell trafficking.

Research

Our research goal will be reached by:

  • characterization studies of newly developed radiotracers for receptors, potentially useful in human studies.
  • molecular imaging in small laboratory animals for the characterization of newly developed radiotracers, to evaluate in-vivo animal models of and in-vivo evaluation of potential new drugs.
  • molecular imaging studies in humans. Studies in healthy volunteers as well as patients for the evaluation of new radiotracers. Clinical studies on receptor imaging our research lines
