During this afternoon early and mid-career researchers within the APH PM program are able to meet each other in real life and share experiences and opportunities.
The applicants of the PM Junior Travel grant will be invited to present their research and travel plans in a Pecha Kucha format. The program board and junior board will be present to choose the winners. The winners of the awards will be announced at the end of the afternoon.
Above all, Dr. Bart Baselmans will give a talk about doing research abroad as an early-career researcher. After obtaining his PhD, he received an NWO travel grant in 2019 for a year of research in Australia. There he studied genetic effects in cognitive disorders in psychiatric patients. He will share some findings and his personal experiences with going abroad.
