Tesla Suit Symposium

For several years (VU Movement Sciences and Reade) have been working on the use of and researching electrostimulation in people with spinal cord injury. The Teslasuit is a full-body suit with built-in motion sensors, stimulation electrodes, and soon EMG electrodes, among others, with 2 goals: 1) Restoring arm and leg function in people with paralysis, 2) Preventing secondary complications (e.g., sagging, bowel problems, blood pressure problems) in people with spinal cord injury or other groups with inactive muscles (e.g., in intensive care).
