Focus of research
My research project is focused on autism assessment and interventions in China and the Netherlands. I am interested in cultural influences on the behavior and cognition of people with autism in Eastern and Western countries. I will bring my Asian perspective of the background of autism to provide insights on how assessment and intervention procedures of autism differ in different cultures.
In addition to research, I would try to translate fundamental research into clinical practice for people with autism, clinician, and laymen. I am also striving for close collaboration with and doing interventions on autism. And I’m open to using innovative treatments.
