New online course on Intellectual Property for biomedical professionals. In this learning-by-doing course, participants will learn how to protect biomedical inventions such as medicinal products, vaccines, advanced therapy medicinal products, and medical devices and create licensing agreements. In the course, you’ll also learn about the interplay between patent law and the granting of market exclusivity for medicinal products by regulatory authorities such as the FDA and the EMA.
This five-week online course uses an highly effective approach to learning, including professionally designed animations, infographics, quizzes, assignments based on real-world R&D projects from industry, and joined projects of universities and start-ups, and custom tools. In addition, the course includes in-depth interviews with experts such as patent examiners from the European Patent Office. Scholarships available
Biomedical professionals who are currently working at a university, university medical center, or research institute in the Netherlands and have not previously taken a course at Paul Janssen Futurelab can apply to receive a scholarship covering 50% of the course fee.
