The webinars aimed to show APH researchers how to clearly communicate their research in their manuscripts. The ultimate goal is to increase chances of publication. Nature Research Academies offered various webinars, for example, about effective academic writing, successful submission strategies and maximizing discoverability. To keep these webinars interesting, engaging and educational, the presenter Dr. Robens used a combination of short lectures, open discussions and practical exercises.
APH researchers/participants were positive about the Getting Published webinars. They agreed that the discussed topics were relevant. Researchers now feel like they can apply their knowledge to practice and feel more confident in writing and submitting manuscripts.
These early- and midcareer researchers described the webinar series as informative, interesting, practical and useful. Learning more about strategies to improve your chances of publication success and to maximize the impact of your research after publication has made a positive impact on the APH researchers.
