Health CASCADE is a Marie Skłodowska Curie Innovative Training Networks project funded by the European Union.
The multidisciplinary expert network aims to foster the next generation of highly-trained research leaders to develop evidence based guiding principles, novel tools and new technologies to make co-creation an effective tool to fight complex public health problems through a European Joint Doctoral Programme.
Global public health challenges confront us all as individuals and communities – from physical inactivity to obesity and other lifestyle-related diseases – magnified by climate change and increasing inequality. These challenges are complex problems arising from multiple interconnected factors and feedback loops, resistant to existing public health programmes. We need new ideas and new approaches such as co-creation. By bringing together citizens, academics, businesses, and civil organisations, the project aims to co-create effective solutions to these complex problems.
As partners in Health CASCADE, Mai Chin A Paw and Teatske Altenburg will contribute to the training of 15 Early Stage Researchers to develop new evidence based guiding principles, methodology, novel tools, and new technologies to make co-creation an effective tool in tackling complex public health problems.
Within Health CASCADE a series of webinars will be organized over the next four years. Health CASCADE’s first interactive webinar will be on 12th July 2021, providing the opportunity to learn from and interact with leading participatory researchers as they share their knowledge and expertise.
