Charles Agyemang: “I had a real honour and opportunity to give the 391st anniversary (DIES) Speech of University of Amsterdam entitled ‘Diversity & Equity: Trust, Trust, Trust’. As our societies continue to diversify especially due to international migration, building trust across our diverse populations becomes highly relevant to bind us together.
Thus, Trust is a glue or cement that holds society together. Without trust, society cannot function effectively, and has potential to undermine ‘social contract’ society depends on. A lot more can be done to build trust in our ever increasing diverse societies and the time is now!”
