MESA is a special interest group for health professions education researchers within the Amsterdam Public Health research institute. We create a vivid learning community in which health professions education researchers from Amsterdam UMC and other Amsterdam based institutes are together to exchange knowledge and experience in workshops and expert meetings.
The next meeting will take place on October 24th, 1-6 PM at location AMC, collegezaal 3.
This kick-off meeting of the SIG Medical Education Scientists Amsterdam is the beginning of a larger mission: to build a network of medical education researchers in Amsterdam. We all work in small teams on educational research, and now it's time to join forces. We aim to create an open network to share knowledge and support each other’s projects. During our kick-off meeting, we will get to know each other in creative ways, enjoy an inspiring keynote lecture, discover each other’s expertise, and shorten the lines of communication within the research community and practice. As a result of this initial networking event, we would like to enhance community building for junior researchers, facilitate consortium grant applications for senior researchers, and deepen each other’s expertise through methodology workshops and a journal club.
Thanks to a generous grant from the Amsterdam Public Health (APH) research institute, we had the opportunity to form a Special Interest Group. And for this SIG to grow and reach its potential, we need you and your team!
