Frank Snoek has been appointed as Order of the Lion of the Netherlands. He received this honour because of his pioneering work in Medical Psychology.
Currently, APH researcher Frank Snoek (professor of Medical psychology at Amstedam UMC) is head of the department Medical Psychology at location VUmc.
His research is worldwide seen as very important, also because of the good applicability in clinical practice. His expertise is on the medical psychological aspects in healthcare of people with diabetes. Diabetes can have a very strong negative influence on the quality of life. Frank Snoek’s research has increased the development of this field of study. He started the by now well-established line of research ‘Diabetes Psychology’.
