Annemieke Buizer was in October 2019 appointed full professor of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine at Amsterdam UMC, location AMC.
She is primarily concerned with children who have mobility limitations due to disorders of the brain, mainly due to cerebral palsy.
Her research focuses on unravelling mechanisms of underlying motor impairments restricting mobility, and on determining the effects of short and long-term effects of interventions.
Professor Buizer will give her inaugural lecture on June 25, 2021.
