Focus of research
Biomedical engineering in general. Main focus 2-D, 3-D and 4-D image acquisition and analysis:
- 3-D motion (4D) visualization and quantification of joints (mostly the wrist);
- Non-invasive detection of knee prosthesis loosening;
- Corrective osteotomy: Computer-assisted planning and navigation based on pre- and intraoperative 3-D imaging;
- Measurement of functional microcirculatory geometry and velocity distributions using automated image analysis;
- Syllectometry: Effect of aggregometer geometry in the assessment of red blood-cell shape recovery and aggregation;
- Ektacytometry and aggregometry with the Laser-assisted Optical Rotational Cell Analyzer (LORCA);
- 3D Cryomicrotome imaging.
