Pathologies of the human airways, asthma, allergy, translational research, innate immunity, innate lymphoid cells

Focus of research

I investigate the immunological mechanisms underlying the pathologies of the lower and upper airways, including asthma, allergy, and chronic rhinitis. I focus on the role of airway epithelium in mediating inflammatory processes and how interaction of structural cells with immune cells, i.e. innate lymphoid cells, shapes the local tissue environment that drives pathologies of the human airways. I develop human cell platform models for predicting individual patients' responses to therapeutics.
