Focus of research
Wendela ter Meulen works as a psychiatrist, with a focus on bipolar, affective and psychotic psychopathology. Her work as a PhD student focuses on the comorbidity of affective disorders and addiction. Under this umbrella, she investigates determinants of smoking cessation in the naturalistic course of affective disorders. She also actively participates in a smoking-free environment in the inpatient clinic where she works. Wendela loves to run, cycle and workout, and to integrate yoga anywhere in her life, as this broadens the mind and sharps the focus.
