General

On Thursday September 11, 2025 we will have the opportunity to meet each other again during an Eat-while-meet lunchmeeting. The topic of this lunchmeeting is Professional Performance & Nurse Preceptorship.

Prof. Dr. Kiki Lombarts from Medical Psychology will give a presentation on her research group Professional Performance & Compassionate Care (PP&CC). The PP&CC research group studies what healthcare professionals need to thrive, combining clinical excellence with humanity and accountability. Together with doctors, nurses, and trainees, they explore how to keep healthcare professionals motivated, compassionate, and effective, translating their findings directly into tools and training for practice. Curious how doctors and nurses can lead with both "cool heads and warm hearts"? Come and find out!

PhD candidate Nick Overpelt joined the PP&CC research group in January of this year. He will share the current direction of his doctoral research, which explores sociocultural theories in relation to nurse preceptorship. Since he’s still in the early stages of the research, he would love to hear your thoughts. So if you’re curious or have ideas, he warmly invites you to think along.

We hope to meet many of you!
