With a pandemic raging and future pandemics inevitable in this increasingly globalized world, the fields of study from our institute have never been more relevant. Meeting the challenges ahead will benefit from bringing together precisely the expertise represented in the three programs of our institute: while infectious disease and inflammation are obvious, much can also be learnt about immunity against viruses from immunity to tumors and vice versa.
We have put together a scientific program that caters to basic and clinical researchers, with plenary speakers that cover each of these programs and a thematic connection with pandemics.
We will have a panel discussion with national opinion leaders. We will hear from a world-renowned vaccine developer and from one of the pre-eminent Chinese researchers involved in the early response to Covid19.
All members of the Amsterdam institute for Infection and Immunity are invited to this symposium.
This is an opportunity to find out what great science is happening in your city, a chance to share your exciting work and to find collaborators you did not even known work right around the corner. Of course, attendance is free.
All researchers (especially PhD students and postdocs) are encouraged to submit an abstract of maximally 1 A4. Deadline submission: May 24th, 2021.
