We are very exited to invite you to join us on Wednesday the 3rd of May for the second edition of our AISS Knowledge Session.

With only little sport science research concentrating specifically on women, there is still a huge potential for improving women’s athlete health and performance. That’s why we dedicate our next session “The Female Athlete” solely to topics that are aimed at the challenges women can face during their sportscareer. Find out more about our session and how to join below. Together we can create more awareness and make impact!

Our main keynote will be hosted by Floor Sijbrandij, Emma Paternotte and Danne Boterenbrood. Floor and Emma are both gynaecologist and founders of the Sports&Gyn network. They will be joined by Danne who is a also
a gynaecologist and former triathlete. Together they will share their knowledge about the hormonal cycle and its effects on sport.

Next to our main keynote Caroline Bolling, Sports physiotherapist and PhD will dive into the perceptions of football players and staff about menstrual cycle and injury.

Our final speaker is Postdoctoral Fellow & Associate Professor John Owen Osborne, who will give insight on the missing link in exercise physiology for female endurance athletes.
