Wendy Scholten-Peeters has been appointed full professor of 'Working Mechanisms and Management Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy' at the Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences, VU Amsterdam.
Wendy Scholten-Peeters has been appointed full professor of 'Working Mechanisms and Management Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy' at the Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, on October 1, 2024. Her position is embedded within Amsterdam Movement Sciences Research Institute.
Together with her multidisciplinary teams, professor Scholten-Peeters will continue to improve musculoskeletal health and physiotherapy by investigating the mechanisms behind musculoskeletal pain and physiotherapy, developing (new) personalized interventions, and assessing the (cost)effectiveness of these interventions. In addition, emphasis will be placed on translating these findings into clinical practice, education and making impact.
