The Methodology program has said goodbye to APH researcher Laura van Dongen as member of the junior board of the Methodology program and is welcoming Jonas Esser and Astrid Kramer.
Astrid Kramer
“Hello, my name is Astrid Kramer. After studying Health Sciences I started in October 2019 with a PhD at the department of Epidemiology and Data Science under supervision of Veerle Coupé (section Decision Modeling and Healthcare Evaluation). After two years, most of the time working from home, I wanted to get more out of my years as a PhD candidate. I am excited to have started as a junior board member and looking forward to contribute to the Methodology program.”
Jonas Esser
My name is Jonas Esser; in September 2021 I started as a PhD student at the VU, Health Sciences department, under the supervision of Judith Bosmans. Within my research, I develop novel statistical methods for economic evaluations of empirical patient data. In short, the aim of such evaluations is to jointly estimate the average treatment effect of an intervention on costs and some sort of benefit measure. I decided to join the methodology junior board in order to become more involved with other researchers outside of my own department, both on a professional and a social level.
