Hacking Health Amsterdam is a hackathon in which unusual teams, from healthcare professional to programmer, from EPD specialist to designer, work on solutions to improve healthcare and health in and around Amsterdam. The focus is not on the patient and the illness, rather, on the patient and their health. Amsterdam UMC and Amsterdam Public Health are proud partners of Hacking Health!
Hacking Health Amsterdam 2021 took place on 28, 29 and 30 October. There were 13 problems to solve. With 80 ‘hackers’ in 13 teams, with the help of coaches and experts, and all partners and sponsors together, this third edition of Hacking Health Amsterdam was a success!
During the finals on Saturday, three winning teams were announced:
Team 2 “Veilig uitkleden” (English: Undress safely) with APH researcher Mireille Dekker, won the title 'Best Data / Tech'.
Team 10 “Art for Heart” won the title 'Best Human Centered Design'
Team 14 “Jasper Wacht, Jasper Lacht” (English: Jasper waits, Jasper laughs) won the title 'Best Innovation'
