Focus of research
David Noske is a neurosurgeon and an associate professor of neurosurgery. He is the founder and head of the Neuro-oncology Research Group (NRG) at the Amsterdam UMC.
Focus of Research
- Combinational Drug Therapy for Glioblastoma: the development of more effective therapies for glioblastoma through extensive drug combination screening. Identifying synergistic drug interactions that could significantly improve the management and treatment outcomes of this aggressive brain tumour.
- Discriminating pseudo progression vs tumor progression, using Blood Platelets: developing innovative, non-invasive diagnostics through the analysis of tumour-educated blood platelets, to enable detection and discrimination of pseudo vs glioblastoma progression
- Molecular and Cellular Mechanisms in Cancer: understanding the mechanistic basis of tRNA genes regulation in normal and cancer cells and evaluating whether glioblastoma cells use tRNA expression modulation to support their growth.
- Convection Enhanced Delivery: This is an innovative approach for local drug delivery in the brain while circumventing the Blood Brain Barrier and avoiding systemic toxicity
