During the annual conference of the Dutch Association for Diabetes Research, dr. Anna Emanuel received the Dr. F. Gerritzen award for the best Dutch dissertation in the field of diabetes of 2019-2020.
Anna Emanuel obtained her PhD on 13 October 2020 at the department of Internal Medicine and Physiology of the Amsterdam UMC for her research into the development, clinical consequences and treatment of impaired organ blood flow in diabetes.
The Dr. F. Gerritzen award is an initiative of SANOFI and is awarded annually to a recently graduated researcher who has conducted clinical research in the field of diabetes mellitus. The award consists of the bronze Dr. F. Gerritzen medal, a certificate and 5000 euros.
