Focus of research

My PhD project focuses on using PET/CT imaging as a predictive biomarker for response to
immunotherapy, and on evaluating novel therapeutics such as nanoparticles or antibodydrug
conjugates using this technique. PET/CT imaging is a non-invasive tool that produces
qualitative as well as quantitative data on tumor uptake and biodistribution, while
simultaneously allowing for heterogeneity analysis and repetitive measurements.
Applying PET/CT imaging as a potential biomarker for immunotherapy requires a
translational approach and a close collaboration has been achieved within the Cancer Center
Amsterdam to match PET results to pathology and flow cytometry results.
