Lower-extremity orthotics and exercise testing in chronic disabling conditions
Focus of research
Research focusses on quality of orthotic care, specifically lower extremity orthotic interventions to preserve and improve walking in patients with chronic disabling conditions. Other research areas focus on outcome assessment and aerobic training in chronic disabling conditions.
Main target groups are slowly progressive neuromuscular disorders (specifically poliomyelitis and post-polio syndrome) and cerebral palsy.
