Erwin van Wegen, together with colleagues Karlijn Musch and Marc Rietberg, all from the department of Rehabilitation Medicine Amsterdam UMC, have received two grants from the ParkinsonNL Foundation for carrying out innovation projects.

  1. Cue2Walk@Home: towards self-management of Freezing of Gait using eHealth strategies at home in people with Parkinson's Disease. Subsidy amount €49,765. This is a collaboration with the company Cue2Walk int. and Radboudumc.
  2. HIIT-ing apathy in deep brain stimulation (DBS): High Intensity Interval Training to reduce DBS induced apathy in patients with PD. Subsidy amount €49,740. This is a collaboration with Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry of AmsterdamUMC.
