Prof. Mireille Serlie’s lab seeks to understand molecular mechanisms of insulin resistance in humans. Her lab also focusses on the role of nutrients and obesity on the central control of metabolism and food intake. Her studies are translational and involve in depth analysis of metabolic fluxes and brain imaging.
Prof. Marc-Emmanuel Dumas Professor and Chair of Systems Medicine Imperial College, London The research of prof. Marc-Emmanuel Dumas on metabolic and systems medicine focusses on the integration of metabolomic data with other "omics” to identify metabolites and genes associated with cardiometabolic diseases, inflammation, ageing, and cancer to form and test novel hypotheses for the understanding the complex variation of the gene, protein and metabolic networks generated by such pathologies.
