General

High-quality research flourishes in a culture characterized by independence and integrity. Shared values and principles of honesty and integrity lay the foundation of responsible teaching and conduct of research. Amsterdam UMC is working on a research environment that promotes and guarantees responsible research practices.

In light of this, AGEM and Amsterdam UMC Research Support are organizing a new event: the Responsible Research Dinner Debate (Diner Pensant). You will get the opportunity to learn from and share experiences with several experts working on different themes within the Responsible Research field and experience experts who pioneered with specific responsible research practices. The experts will share insights about best practices in creating a responsible research environment, drawing from their own experience and using tangible use cases. Subsequently, there will be plenty of time for open debate between the experts and other participants.

Each course you will be seated at the table of a different expert or experience expert, with varying peers. This way, the three course dinner will 1) allow you to broaden your horizon on three different themes of responsible research practices, 2) join in knowledge and experience sharing among a group of experts and participants, and 3) get inspired and ready to bring ideas to foster responsible research practices to your own research group.
