Erwin van Wegen, together with colleagues Karlijn Musch and dr. Marc Rietberg from the department of rehabilitation medicine at Amsterdam UMC, have been awarded two grants from the ParkinsonNL foundation.

The researchers have been given these grants to carry out exciting and innovative research aimed at improving the lives of individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.

  1. Cue2Walk@Home: Towards Self-Management of Freezing of Gait Using eHealth Strategies at Home in People with Parkinson's Disease. Grant: €49,765.
  2. HIIT-ing Apathy in Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS): High Intensity Interval Training to Reduce DBS-Induced Apathy in Patients with Parkinson’s Disease. Grant: €49,740.
