Education & Talent Development

Education & Talent Development Committee

The Education & Talent Development Committee is dedicated to high-quality education and talent development within AI&I. The committee contributes to and coordinates PhD candidate courses, including the Advanced Immunology Course and the Advanced Infectious Diseases Course, in close collaboration with clinical and academic partners. In addition, the committee maintains regular dialogue with the Doctoral School regarding course offerings.

The committee encourages initiatives from the PhD students’ literature/book club. These meetings are organized once every two weeks, for and mainly by clinical PhD candidates (8–10 participants) who wish to refresh and deepen their knowledge of immunology. Each time, one participant studies a chapter from Janeway's Immunobiology and presents it to the group. These meetings provide good preparation for the Advanced Immunology course. For refreshing the knowledge of infectious diseases, the book of Mim's Medical Microbiology and Immunology could be used.

The committee aims to evaluate and strengthen existing talent programs, and to develop new initiatives that support the professional and academic growth of researchers within AI&I.
