We're happy to invite you to participate in the Amsterdam Infection and Immunity (AI&I) 2026 PhD Retreat "Lights, Research, Action!". This year we are stepping into the world of cinema and thinking about how movies can inspire scientists. Throughout the retreat we will dive into how we, as scientists, can share complex ideas in compelling, accessible ways with broader audiences. The AI&I PhD Retreat is an exciting two-day event for PhD candidates, consisting of social, scientific, career, and educational program components including a hotel-stay! Participation is financed via the AI&I Institute and thus is free of charge for PhD candidates.

You can sign-up by scanning the QR code or clicking on the link to the registration form. Registration is open from now until 23rd January 2026. You have until this date to also submit your abstract. We ask that everyone submits an abstract as it is a low-key way to practice presenting as well as network with one another. We have attached the preliminary program to this email to hopefully peak your excitement! For those who sign up, more information regarding the workshops will follow 😊
