Do you have ambitions and plans for a special education or research project? Does your scientific project have societal impact? Have you been awarded your PhD no more than five years ago? And are you looking for funding for your project? The Amsterdam University Fund (AUF) is making €200,000 available this fall — up to €25,000 per application — for projects by young researchers.
Themes of the AUF Impact Call
- Green Future: The AUF supports projects that contribute to a more sustainable world. This includes sustainable innovation, climate-resilient solutions, and societal behavior change.
- Strong Society: To make the world more just and prosperous, the AUF is also looking for projects that have a positive impact on a national and/or international scale. This includes initiatives that create equal opportunities and strengthen the rule of law and democracy, or projects that shape the citizenship of the future.
- Healthy and Connected Generations: Or perhaps you have a project that contributes to the well-being of young people. This could include initiatives that promote mental, physical, and digital health, as well as talent development. Projects focusing on intergenerational connections are also eligible.
Who is eligible?
The AUF is primarily targeting young, talented researchers with this call:
- You are employed by the UvA (University of Amsterdam) or Amsterdam UMC (Amsterdam University Medical Centers).
- You have received your PhD no more than five years ago, that is, after January 1, 2020. The NWO extension scheme applies.
How to apply
Do you meet the requirements? Starting December 16, 2024, you can submit an application via the AUF website. The deadline is Friday, January 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
