Faculties of both the Vrije Universiteit and the Universiteit van Amsterdam are involved in this infrastructure. Through ODISSEI, researchers have access to large-scale, longitudinal data collections as well as innovative and diverse new forms of data. These can be linked to administrative data at Statistics Netherlands (CBS).
The National Roadmap for Large-scale Research Infrastructures programme enables the construction or renovation of research facilities with an international appeal. This roadmap-grant will be used to accelerate development of computational social science in the Netherlands over the next five year.
ODISSSEI is working to better understand the impact of the corona virus in the Netherlands and how the population is adapting to the changes which have to be made due to the virus. Data of thousands of households in the Netherlands is collected by linking data from more sources. The insights generated by ODISSEI will help researchers and policy makers better understand and adapt to the virus.
