As of January 2024, APH researcher Sietske Tamminga is the new APH program leader Societal Participation & Health (SP&H). She will take over this role from Angela de Boer (professor 'Chronic disease and work participation' at Amsterdam UMC).
With our research we strive to contribute to decent work for everyone
Sietske is trained as a Human Movement Scientist (2006) and she obtained her PhD at the faculty of medicine of the University of Amsterdam (2012). Since October 2020, she is appointed PI in the department of Public and Occupational health. She is associated with the Netherlands Center for Occupational Diseases.
Her research focusses on work and health with a special interest in research on the prevention of work-related diseases and research focusing on enhancing the return to work of cancer survivors. In this research she collaborates with teams of (inter)national researchers and professionals with different backgrounds.
