General
The R2 omics analysis and visualization platform (http://r2platform.com) is an open-access online discovery environment that enables biomedical researchers to test hypotheses and analyze public or private datasets.
Designed with the typical researcher in mind, R2 is highly user-friendly and does not require any bioinformatics or programming skills.
You can seamlessly explore more than 3,000 public datasets (including TCGA, DepMap, and GTEx) or have your own data added to the platform. With just a few clicks, R2 allows you to perform interconnected follow-up analyses and visualizations that help you dive deeper into your research questions.
To help researchers get started, we are organizing an online introductory workshop on 12 March 2026, held over Zoom.
This workshop provides an overview of the most commonly used tools in R2, along with tips and tricks on how to tailor them to your specific needs.
You will have the opportunity to speak directly with the R2 Team in breakout rooms
Program
14:00-16:00 Presentation
Overview of R2's key concepts and essential functionalities, including:
-basic platform navigation
-visualizing your data through various plot types
-performing data analysis pipelines by interlinked follow-up analyses
-overview of frequently used omics modules
-working with custom or analysis gene sets and annotations
-collaborating and sharing analysis results
16:00-17:00 Hands-on sessions and R2 expert Breakout Rooms
During the final hour, you are invited to work hands-on with the platform and/or join the R2 experts in Zoom breakout rooms. You can discuss research questions, data-upload requests, platform functionalities, collaboration ideas, desired features, or any topic for which you would like direct interaction with a member of the R2 team.
