Amsterdam UMC Science & Awards Day - Recap and Winners

During the Amsterdam UMC PhD Science & Awards Day earlier this month, numerous awards and scholarships were bestowed. The various judging panels were notably impressed by the exceptional quality of the entries, as highlighted on the Doctoral School website. The recipients are as follows:

Best Poster

• First prize: Annet Heijerman
• Second prizes were awarded to both Henrique Nogueira Pinto and Lotte Jansen
• Incentive prizes were granted to Eva Cohen, Merel Koster, Jeanet Karchout, Parisa Mapar, Rada Veeneman, Sherif Bayoumi, and Siyu Zhou

Best Publication

• First prize: Yasaman Vali
• Second prizes were awarded to both Alex Lipov and Lianne Mulder

Best Thesis

• First prize: Tjitske Zaat
• Second prizes: Eric Ettema & Marije Wijnberge

Best Thesis Design

• First prize: Marije Wijnberge
• Second prizes: Bo Bet & Leah Wilk

Five PhD Scholarships were conferred upon Rianne van der Burgt, Jard Mattens, Dachel Seeratan, Myrthe Simon, and Bastiaan van Tol.
