Andrea Maier (Full Professor of Gerontology, VU) has been appointed to the Technical Advisory Group to evaluate the UN Decade of Healthy Ageing (WHO). The TAG members were selected through an open call for independent experts in monitoring and evaluation of policies, programmes, and health and social care services focusing on older people. The TAG consists of 20 members representing 19 WHO Member States across all WHO Regions and includes geriatricians, epidemiologists, demographers, statisticians, policy analysts, and program implementers. Andrea Maier was the head of Geriatrics VU Medical Center from 2012 to 2016.
