"Thanks to the APH Methodology work visit grant, I spent September 2025 at Prof. Dominique de Quervain’s lab at the University of Basel, where I experienced both the warm group culture and the city’s charming international atmosphere. I learned about ongoing projects using Virtual Reality to reduce stress and anxiety, observed preparations for new TMS studies, and even took part in a TMS pilot study. Most importantly, I had the chance to discuss our trial in Amsterdam (cortisol as an early intervention to reduce risk of PTSD at the Emergency Department) with Prof. de Quervain, whose feedback helped refine our study design and connected decades of cortisol research across labs – from Basel to Amsterdam!"
