The Amsterdam UMC Young Talent Fund is an initiative of the AMC Foundation and VUmc Fund and is open to all PhD students of Amsterdam UMC, both from location AMC and location VUmc. The goal is to enable young excellent PhD candidates to do an internship or follow courses at one of the top international research institutes anywhere in the world.
The fund is made possible by gifts from private donations to the AMC Foundation and VUmc Fund. The maximum grant is € 5.000,-.
Since the fund started in 2012, over 100 PhD students have received a grant from the Amsterdam UMC Young Talent Fund. They went to Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Yale University and the University of Zurich, among others.
