Focus of research
In my current role as a Researcher/Clinical Trial Coordinator in the Neurochemistry lab of the departement of laboratory medicine, Amsterdam UMC, I lead the implementation of single AD-related biomarkers for clinical trials and other research works for patient screening, inclusion and endpoint analysis. In this role, I also support new biomarker discovery efforts (proteomics), assay development, assay and method validation, and the development of user friendly point-of-care diagnostic tools such as lateral flow-based tests in support of efforts to democratize the use of ADRD biomarkers.
I’m passionate about research works that focuses on discovery and using innovative as well as sensitive technologies for the detection and quantification of fluid-based biomarkers for the early detection, monitoring the pathological/clinical progression and treatment outcomes of patients with neurological/neurodegenerative diseases.
