Focus of research

Josine Stuber is a postdoctoral researcher at the department of Epidemiology and Data Science of Amsterdam UMC.

As a trained nutritionist and epidemiologist, Josine is interested in how changes in the food environment could impact dietary choices and health outcomes. She has expertise on randomized controlled trials in the online and in-store supermarket environment, as well as natural experiments in this setting. Her current research focuses are (a) other naturally occurring changes in our food environments, such as the implementation of the Nutri-Score and proposed advertisement bans for unhealthy foods or meat products in public spaces, and (b) evaluating the health impact of shifting dietary patterns from predominantly animal-based protein products to more plant-based products.
