Orthopedic surgeon Jos Bramer has recently been appointed professor of Orthopedics, in particular Education in the Support and Musculoskeletal System at the Faculty of Medicine (UvA). Jos has been involved in education since 2005. First as a lecturer, later also as a coordinator for the Bachelor's in Medicine. He has also co-written the current curriculum and the national Framework for Medicine. Professorship was not the main objective, but it is the result of his passion for teaching medicine.
