EBOPRAS and EBHS fellow. Staff member department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery (former head of the department) and Professor of Plastic Surgery, especially Hand Surgery, Amsterdam University Medical Center, Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Co-founder, co-owner and Medical Director of The Hand Clinic, Amsterdam, the first private clinic for hand and wrist surgery and therapy in the Netherlands, now part of Bergman Clinics.
Past president of the Dutch Society for Surgery of the Hand and past member of the FESSH Council. Has organized more than 25 national and international scientific meetings and courses.
Gave more than 110 lectures (excluding more than 100 teaching lectures) at national and international scientific meetings and (co-)authored over 120 papers and more than 25 book chapters.
