The expert centre for rare kidney diseases, affiliated with AR&D and led by Elena Levtchenko, ranks at position 1 among 64 centres, according to the results of the 2024 centre performance analysis.

An ERN (European Reference Network) is a specialized center for rare diseases, and there are 64 such networks for rare kidney diseases in Europe. To be recognized as an ERN, a centre must meet stringent requirements, such as scientific publications, quality of care, and education. The latest evaluation shows that Amsterdam UMC scored the highest in all these areas, achieving the number one position in 2024.

We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Elena Levtchenko and the entire team at Amsterdam UMC for this outstanding achievement. Their dedication to excellence in patient care, research, and education has rightfully earned them this prestigious ranking.
