The InKaart cohort study collects data from individuals with neurodiversity or disabilities and from their parents or caregivers. Participants complete standardized online questionnaires. The collected data are used for scientific research and for informing policy and advocacy efforts.
A distinctive feature of InKaart is its broad inclusion of diverse participant groups across all ages. Participants may include children and adults with a diagnosis of ADHD, autism, developmental coordination disorder (DCD), developmental language disorder (DLD), dyslexia, or a visual or intellectual disability. Individuals without a formal diagnosis but with suspected conditions, as well as parents or caregivers concerned about a child’s development, can also participate.
Participants and people with lived experience contribute to the research process by advising on questionnaire content, identifying relevant research topics, and providing input on study priorities. This participatory approach ensures that the research remains closely aligned with the needs and perspectives of those it aims to benefit.
