Measuring stress in daily life
The episode explores how stress and recovery unfold in everyday life and how these processes can be studied using Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA). This method uses short questionnaires and digital diaries on smartphones to capture daily dynamics and individual differences in stress, resilience and well-being.
From cohorts to Stress in Action
Insights from NTR and NESDA contribute to Stress in Action, a large-scale, long-term research programme funded by the NWO Gravitation programme. In this collaboration between seven Dutch universities and university medical centres, researchers investigate how stress affects mental and physical health and how stress-related disorders can be better monitored, prevented and reduced.
The episode “Stress, resilience and well-being in daily life with Lianne de Vries” will be released on 18 December 2025 on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Youtube. More information about Stress in Action can be found on our website.
Stress Navigation is an initiative of Stress in Action. The podcast features both English- and Dutch-language episodes. The Dutch episodes are hosted by Myrte Schoenmakers, PhD candidate at the Department of Biological Psychology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Podcast production and communications are coordinated by Anouk Weverling.
