During the annual meeeting of the VvBN (Vereniging voor Bewegingswetenschappen Nederland), held in Utrecht on April 21, 2023, Wouter Schallig (Amsterdam UMC) was awarded the 1st prize for the best dissertation in movement sciences in 2022. The jury was chaired by dr. Melvyn Roerdink.
Dr. Schallig defended his thesis titled The Amsterdam Foot Model: Advancing the clinical assessment of multi-segment foot kinematics during gait at VU Amsterdam on September 8, 2022.
