During the Princess Margaret Memorial Lecture given on Wednesday December 4, '24, professor Gert Kwakkel (rehabililtation medicine AUMC) was awarded the prestigious 'Lifetime achievement award' for his scientific research in the field of stroke.
After handing over the award letter made by Princess Margaret's son Lord Snowdon, a member of the British royal family, professor Kwakkel delivered the plenary lecture at the UK Stroke Forum Congress (UKSF) in Liverpool in the presence of more than 2,000 conference attendees.
The UKSF is the largest multidisciplinary platform for stroke researchers and practitioners in teh world.
